Hankook Tire & Technology announced on March 17 that it has signed a strategic partnership with used-car service platform Hey Dealer to enhance tire standards in the used-car refurbishment process.
The memorandum of understanding (MOU) was finalized on March 16 at HeyDealer Tech Bay in Seo District, Incheon, marking a collaboration focused on “used-car tire supply and improvement of refurbishment quality.”
The partnership aims to position tires—critical to both vehicle performance and safety—as a central benchmark for evaluating used-car quality. By establishing high standards for tire replacement, the collaboration seeks to strengthen consumer trust and increase transparency in the used-car market.
Hey Dealer, launched in 2015, has rapidly grown as a platform for used-car services. Through this collaboration, the company plans to bolster its quality control system during vehicle refurbishment, ensuring that all refurbished vehicles meet higher safety and performance standards.
Under the agreement, vehicles refurbished at HeyDealer Tech Bay that require new tires will be equipped with Hankook Tire’s premium products. The range includes the iON tire designed for electric vehicles, the flagship Ventus line, and the Dynapro series tailored for sport utility vehicles (SUVs).
This partnership reflects the increasing focus on quality and safety in the used-car market, aligning industry leaders to improve standards and consumer confidence.
