The Champagne & Oyster Cycling Club’s annual charity ride returns this year, taking participants on a 140-kilometre journey along the Côte d’Azur, finishing with celebrations in Monaco.
Now in its 12th edition, the event attracts riders from the region’s business, sporting, and yachting communities.
Cyclists will complete the full coastal route, arriving in Monaco by evening after a day in the saddle. The ride supports two major causes: the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, which promotes water safety and swimming education worldwide, and the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, which funds research into motor neurone disease.
Founded in 2011, the charity ride has seen high-profile participation, including Prince Albert II of Monaco and Formula One drivers, and has become a key fixture on the principality’s charitable calendar.
Following the ride, Monaco will host a street party with live music, food, and fundraising activities, creating a festive conclusion to the day’s challenge.
Organisers aim to raise around €100,000 this year, with each rider committing to individual sponsorship targets to support the two foundations.
The event combines athletic challenge with philanthropy, uniting the community around sport and charitable giving.
