Cadillac has confirmed that its all-new VISTIQ electric SUV will make its official debut on April 22, marking a significant expansion of the brand’s growing electric vehicle portfolio. The full-size model will be the third locally produced EV under the SAIC-GM Cadillac joint venture, positioned between the Lyriq and the flagship Escalade IQ.
Underpinned by General Motors’ Ultium platform, the VISTIQ is designed to compete in the large SUV segment with a focus on space, versatility, and modern design. It adopts a 2+2+2 six-seat configuration and features substantial proportions, measuring 5,222 mm in length, 2,026 mm in width, and 1,799 mm in height, along with a 3,094 mm wheelbase. A ground clearance of 193 mm and a 19-degree approach angle provide limited off-road capability, while rear-wheel steering enhances maneuverability in urban environments by reducing the turning radius.
According to regulatory filings, the VISTIQ will be offered in both single- and dual-motor variants. The single-motor version produces 255 kW, while the dual-motor configuration pairs a 183 kW front motor with a 260 kW rear motor, delivering a combined output of 443 kW. In its top specification, the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under four seconds.
The model is equipped with a ternary lithium battery pack, offering CLTC-rated driving ranges of 573 km, 601 km, and 642 km depending on the configuration. DC fast-charging capability enables the vehicle to add approximately 127 km of range in just 10 minutes, supporting improved convenience for long-distance travel.
On the technology side, Cadillac is introducing a concealed LiDAR system integrated along the upper interior edge of the front windshield. This approach eliminates the need for roof-mounted sensors while reducing potential interference from environmental factors such as rain, snow, and dust.
The VISTIQ will also be the first Cadillac model to feature Momenta’s intelligent driving system, delivering L2++ advanced driver assistance functions alongside navigation-assisted driving. The integration highlights Cadillac’s continued push to enhance autonomous driving technologies as it accelerates its transition toward electrification.
