Kia Launches EV3 AWD With 265 HP, 572 km Range and Faster Acceleration

by Shreeya

Kia has expanded its EV3 electric crossover lineup with the introduction of a new all-wheel-drive variant, adding a more powerful option to the model range previously limited to front-wheel-drive configurations.

The new Kia EV3 AWD is equipped with dual electric motors producing a combined 265 horsepower and 385 Nm of torque. The added power enables the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds, making it the quickest EV3 variant currently available.

Kia pairs the all-wheel-drive system exclusively with its larger 81.4 kWh battery pack, which delivers a driving range of up to 572 kilometers on a full charge.

The addition of the second motor increases the vehicle’s weight to 1,895 kilograms, around 90 kilograms heavier than the front-wheel-drive version. Despite the weight gain, the AWD model benefits from improved towing capability, with maximum trailer capacity rising to 1,500 kilograms.

Pricing for the Kia EV3 AWD starts at 45,395 euros, representing a 3,000-euro premium over the comparable front-wheel-drive model.

The launch of the all-wheel-drive EV3 broadens Kia’s offering in the electric crossover market, giving buyers a more performance-oriented and versatile option within the brand’s compact EV lineup.
