Despite being six years into its lifecycle, the Venue continues to attract buyers with its practical design, compact dimensions, and user-friendly features.
The subcompact SUV offers a boxy shape that maximizes interior space, an eight-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 121 horsepower. This powertrain delivers a combined fuel economy of 31 mpg, aided by the vehicle’s lightweight construction. Hyundai backs the Venue with a 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty, providing added peace of mind for long-term ownership.
The 2026 Venue lineup is straightforward, featuring two main trims: the base SE at $22,150 and the SEL, which is available in a standard version ($24,425) and a “SEL w/ 2-Tone Roof” variant ($24,200). The SEL trim adds significant upgrades over the SE, including heated front seats and mirrors, a proximity key with push-button start, wireless charging, a sunroof, blind-spot and rear cross-traffic collision warnings, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Color options are plentiful, with eight exterior hues available, most at no additional cost. The “Ultimate Red” paint option is the only extra-cost color, priced at $500. Interior choices for cloth upholstery include black or gray, with the SEL w/ 2-Tone Roof featuring a mix of cloth and H-Tex leatherette.
Optional dealer-installed accessories are limited but practical, ranging from a cargo tray ($130) to a crossbar kit ($375) for roof-mounted cargo. Fully equipping a Venue SEL with all accessories and the red paint option results in a total MSRP of $26,395. For buyers financing the vehicle with a 10% down payment and a 5% interest rate over five years, the monthly payment would be approximately $525, bringing the total cost to $34,161, including taxes, fees, and registration.
Despite its modest engine and dated design, the Hyundai Venue remains a strong value proposition compared with competitors. For example, a comparably equipped Chevrolet Trax starts at $28,885, more than $4,400 higher than the Venue SEL. While the Trax offers more power and interior space, it does not match Hyundai’s long powertrain warranty, making the Venue an appealing choice for budget-conscious buyers.
