Audi is gearing up for a significant product push in the United States, aiming to strengthen its foothold in the highly competitive luxury vehicle market with the launch of three key SUVs.
According to industry reports, the German automaker is preparing to introduce an all-new Audi Q9, a next-generation Q7, and a refreshed Q4 e-tron in the coming months. These models are expected to play a central role in helping Audi regain momentum in a segment currently dominated by rivals such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Lexus.
At the center of the strategy is the Audi Q9, a new full-size flagship SUV developed with a strong focus on U.S. consumer preferences. The three-row model is anticipated to make its debut later this year, with sales in the American market expected to begin in 2027.
The Q9 will position Audi directly in the fast-growing full-size luxury SUV segment, competing against established models including the Mercedes-Benz GLS, BMW X7, Cadillac Escalade, and Range Rover. While the existing Q7 offers three-row seating, the Q9 is expected to serve as Audi’s first purpose-built flagship entry in this category.
Alongside the Q9, Audi is preparing an update for the Q4 e-tron, its compact electric SUV. The refresh comes as automakers recalibrate their electric vehicle strategies in response to evolving consumer demand. Despite some short-term softening in EV growth, industry analysts maintain that long-term electrification plans remain firmly in place.
Audi has also confirmed that the third-generation Q7 will debut this year as a 2027 model. The redesigned SUV will replace the current version, which first arrived in 2015 and has since undergone two facelifts. The upcoming Q7 is expected to feature upgraded hybrid powertrains and significant technology enhancements to remain competitive with newer rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5.
Together, the introduction of the Q9, the overhaul of the Q7, and the refresh of the Q4 e-tron mark a coordinated effort by Audi to revitalize its U.S. lineup and challenge leading players in the premium SUV segment.
