Free Living Co., a clean-living marketplace based in Park City, is set to unveil its new Live Free Skincare line with a community launch event on Jan. 10 at the brand’s warehouse.
The Live Free Skincare collection is the first Made Safe–certified line created specifically for teens and young women, addressing concerns over the lack of transparency and safety in youth-focused beauty products. Made Safe certification ensures that products are free from harmful chemicals, focusing on both human health and environmental impact.
“Made Safe is the only human health and ecosystem-focused certification program, which means not only is this good for you, it’s friendly to our earth,” the brand notes on its website.
The skincare line avoids endocrine disruptors, carcinogens, and undisclosed fragrance blends. Instead, it emphasizes essential active ingredients designed to support the needs of young skin. “Teen beauty has been treated as disposable — for both people and the planet. We wanted to create something radically different: actually clean skincare that respects young skin, long-term health, and the world they’re inheriting,” said founder Dana Grinnell.
The collection, which includes a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer, was developed with input from 25 teenagers nationwide, including Grinnell’s children, family members, and friends’ kids ranging from middle school to high school.
Sustainability is a key aspect of the line’s design. Packaging incorporates fully home-compostable, microbe-made biomaterials and reusable pouches crafted from deadstock fabric, aiming to reduce plastic waste and overproduction in the beauty industry.
Founded in 2023, Free Living Co. began as an online destination for toxin-free products and recently expanded to a brick-and-mortar store at Kimball Junction. The launch of Live Free Skincare marks the company’s continued growth in clean, sustainable beauty.
The Jan. 10 launch party runs from 6-8 p.m. at the Live Free Warehouse, 4554 N. Forestdale Drive, Unit 37. Attendees can preview products, shop, and enjoy light bites and drinks. Grinnell will present at 7 p.m., and the first 50 guests will receive a Live Free goodie bag.
