“Dancing With the Stars” alum Lindsay Arnold is opening up about her recent breast augmentation surgery, sharing candid moments from her recovery and embracing the changes with confidence.
“Post-surgery Lindsay is a sight to see. Everything went great, thank you for all the well wishes!!” she wrote alongside a video documenting the procedure on Wednesday.
In a series of posts, Arnold, 31, gave fans an unfiltered look at her breast augmentation journey, from pre-surgery nerves to post-operative recovery. The dancer shared moments of excitement with her husband, Samuel Lightner Cusick, on the drive to the clinic.
“I can’t believe this is actually happening,” Arnold told Cusick the day before the procedure. While waiting for the doctor, she also recounted a high school rumor that falsely claimed her father had performed a breast augmentation on her. “My dad is not a plastic surgeon,” she clarified.
Prior to surgery, Arnold met with her doctor for markings and even recorded a TikTok dance video. Afterward, she was attentive to the little details, like checking if her braids were still intact. Despite feeling dizzy and nauseous initially, she described her pain as manageable with medication.
In a post-surgery “morning vlog,” Arnold said, “Honestly, I’m feeling really good,” noting that anesthesia had left her loopy and slightly nauseous. Her chest was swollen, but she expressed satisfaction with the results. “They’re definitely swollen, but I see the potential. I’m very happy,” she said with a smile.
Her husband was featured throughout the recovery videos, supporting her with breakfast, medication, and protein smoothies. Arnold also took a careful first look at her chest, using playful emojis to maintain modesty while sharing her excitement.
Arnold also highlighted her family moments, ending one video snuggling with her daughters, Sage, 4, and June, 1. She expressed appreciation for her oldest daughter’s gentle approach, saying, “You’re being so gentle with me, thank you.”
Arnold revealed that she had planned the breast augmentation as a gift to herself following a birthday trip to Mexico with her husband. She reflected on the decision-making process: “It’s just like — so many decisions. And it’s hard because you make the choices for yourself and you have to live with those choices. So I’m hoping that I make the right decision.”
Responding to online skepticism, she addressed a commenter who said, “Don’t do it!!! I regret mine,” with a TikTok caption: “New have entered the chat and zero regrets here.” Arnold confirmed that this procedure, which included a breast lift, was something she had wanted since she was 13.
