LeAnn Rimes is setting the record straight after online speculation claimed she had undergone breast augmentation surgery. The country singer and actress directly addressed the rumors during a recent Instagram Q&A, firmly denying that she had any cosmetic procedures done.
The clarification came on November 9, when a follower commented “Boob job” during the now-expired Q&A session. According to Us Weekly, Rimes, 43, responded candidly to the remark, expressing disbelief that she was even discussing the topic. “If you are referring to my boobs, I can’t believe I am talking about my boobs,” she wrote in her reply.
Rimes went on to explain that her appearance in recent videos was being misinterpreted due to wardrobe choices for her role in the ABC drama 9-1-1: Nashville. “But if you are referring to my boobs in some of the videos that I have been posting when it comes to my character in 9-1-1: Nashville, I have the most massive push-up bra of life on,” she said, attributing the dramatic effect entirely to costume styling.
Adding humor to her explanation, Rimes shared a behind-the-scenes moment that highlighted just how effective the bra was. “In fact, when I took off the bra one day, my boobs stayed up by my chin a bit before they fell,” she joked. “So no, I did not get a boob job. Nothing that has not been there already.”
The Grammy-winning singer has long been open about her body and personal image. In 2020, Rimes shared a nude photo on Instagram as part of a Glamour essay to raise awareness about her struggle with psoriasis. “This is finally my time to be honest about what psoriasis is and what it looks like,” she wrote at the time, aiming to normalize conversations about skin conditions and self-acceptance.
Rimes has also addressed past speculation about her health and weight. In a 2013 interview with the Daily Mail, she denied rumors that she had an eating disorder, saying she had grown more secure about her body over time. “Now I’m secure about my body, although I’m like any other woman and have my moments of self-doubt,” she said.
The singer added that her husband, actor Eddie Cibrian, has been a steady source of encouragement. “It’s nice to have a husband who tells you you’re beautiful all the time,” she shared. “I’ll say to him: ‘I’ve gained a few pounds,’ and he’ll say: ‘Good!’” Rimes’ latest comments reinforce her ongoing message about honesty, confidence, and rejecting unrealistic beauty standards.
