Sai De Silva has opened up about her cosmetic surgery history and her future on The Real Housewives of New York City during a candid “Ask Me a Question” session on Instagram.
The 45-year-old reality star confirmed on Monday that she previously underwent a tummy tuck following the birth of her two children, while also explaining why she decided against having a breast augmentation.
Responding to a fan who asked whether she had a tummy tuck, Sai replied simply, “Sure did!” She said pregnancy left her with loose skin and separated abdominal muscles, a condition known as diastasis recti, which prompted her to seek surgical help.
“After having kids I was left with loose skin and separated abs. It really bothered me so I found an amazing doctor in NYC and had it done,” she wrote, adding that it was “the worst pain of my life.”
Sai expanded on her experience in a post on her Substack, where she described struggling to recognize her body after childbirth. She said her abdomen never fully recovered after two pregnancies, leaving her with sagging skin and a persistent bulge that became more noticeable after eating.
“Once I knew I was done having kids, I started seeking out consultations to fix my broken stomach,” she wrote, stressing that the decision was about feeling like herself again rather than changing who she was.
When another follower asked whether she had also undergone breast augmentation, Sai was quick to clarify that she had not.
“No. These are all me,” she said. “I wouldn’t mind a lift so I don’t have to wear a bra but I didn’t want the scar.”
Sai also addressed questions about the future of RHONY, telling fans she has no inside information about the upcoming 16th season. “I know nothing,” she admitted when asked for news.
Her comments come as uncertainty continues to surround the show’s cast. Late last year, Jenna Lyons confirmed her departure from the series, while a report from Bravo and Cocktails suggested only three cast members from season 15 — Sai, Jessel Taank and Erin Lichy — were expected to return for season 16.
At BravoCon, executive producer Andy Cohen said the production team was “close” to finalizing plans for the new season, though he denied reports that some of the season 15 housewives would be merged with original cast members.
For now, Sai’s candid revelations about her personal life have given fans plenty to talk about, even as the future of RHONY remains unresolved.
