The video showed Dr. Ward marking areas around Ngatikaura’s eyes, cheeks, and mouth, prompting speculation about the nature of the procedure.
The TikTok, captioned “Jessie getting ready to be refreshed, restored,” explained the purpose of the markings: “We want to mark while sitting upright, so we can find the perfect amount of skin to remove. We don’t take too little, or much worse, too much skin,” Dr. Ward wrote. He added that the markings help “optimize results, minimize risks, and improve outcomes.”
Despite fan speculation that Ngatikaura was preparing for a facelift, Dr. Ward clarified in a comment that the procedure was not a facelift. “Markings are used for many conservative and preventative treatments including eyelids, fat transfer, and laser procedures. Jessi did not need surgery. Her natural beauty is obvious,” he said. He emphasized that his approach focuses on preservation and subtle enhancement rather than changing a patient’s appearance.
Ngatikaura has been candid about her cosmetic treatments in the past. In August, she shared an Instagram Reel referencing her willingness to undergo procedures to feel confident in her appearance, saying, “I mean, I’d rather die hot than live ugly.” She also revealed an “under-eye skin pinch” performed by Dr. Ward, which she described as similar to a lower blepharoplasty, aimed at tightening loose skin under her eyes after a 20-pound weight loss.
