Jennifer Lawrence is speaking with rare candor about cosmetic procedures, revealing her unfiltered views on plastic surgery in a new interview with The New Yorker, RadarOnline.com reports.
The 35-year-old Oscar winner shared that while she has avoided facial fillers, she does regularly get Botox — with one important caveat. Lawrence explained she needs to retain enough movement in her face to convincingly portray everyday characters, including a troubled new mother in her upcoming film Die My Love.
The conversation took a lighthearted turn when the topic of cosmetic surgery came up, particularly referencing her friend Kris Jenner. When asked whether she had undergone a deep-plane facelift similar to Jenner’s recent transformation, Lawrence was quick to joke, “No, but believe me, I’m gonna!”
The actress, who shares two young sons with her husband, art dealer Cooke Maroney, was equally frank about her future plans. Lawrence revealed she intends to undergo breast surgery, noting she hopes to do so before filming a nude scene scheduled for the spring. She currently has two projects in pre-production.
Lawrence also opened up about how motherhood has changed her body, admitting the experience differed significantly between her two pregnancies. After welcoming her first son in 2022, she said her body largely returned to its pre-baby state. However, following the birth of her second son in March, she acknowledged, “Second one, nothing bounced back.”
Perhaps most notably, Lawrence emphasized that her openness to plastic surgery has nothing to do with fame. She admitted that even if she weren’t a public figure, she would still consider going under the knife — albeit with less urgency.
“Maybe I wouldn’t be hustling to the appointment the same way,” she said. “But I think yes.”
Lawrence’s remarks offer a refreshingly honest glimpse into the pressures of aging, body image, and self-choice in Hollywood, underscoring her ongoing reputation for authenticity both on and off the screen.
