On July 4, 2025, the “She Health, She Future – ‘7-Day Uterus Care Bureau’ Launch Ceremony” jointly initiated by China Women’s News (Network Information and Communication Center of the All-China Women’s Federation), Southern Weekend, and Guanzhan was grandly held at the China Women’s Activity Center in Beijing. This event brought together authoritative media, medical experts, representatives of female communities, and brand forces, focusing on the long-neglected issue of women’s health. With scientific knowledge as the support and social empathy as the bond, it jointly launched a cognitive upgrade and advocacy campaign for uterine health.
Amid the deepening implementation of the “Healthy China” strategy, the state has been continuously strengthening the work of safeguarding women’s health. However, the issue of uterine health still needs to be significantly addressed. As an important organ that affects endocrine regulation and the immune system, the function of the uterus impacts the coordinated operation of the body’s organs, and its health management is of great significance for women’s health. Nevertheless, due to its deep connection with sensitive areas such as menstrual privacy, uterine health has long been left out of the scope of health management topics, resulting in insufficient public awareness of the importance of uterine health.
The “7-Day Uterus Care Bureau” aims to awaken women’s attention to uterine health, help them deeply understand the “golden period” of the 7 days after menstruation for uterine maintenance, and advocate that women take active actions to scientifically maintain uterine health. At the launch meeting, the representatives of the three parties jointly launched the national research plan of the “7-Day Uterus Care Bureau”, bringing the topic of uterine maintenance into the public’s view and promoting the public’s leap from cognitive awakening to systematic practice. At the same time, Guanzhan, a modern Oriental tonic brand, announced the establishment of the “Women’s Health Research Center” and will continuously invest 100 million yuan to conduct systematic research in the field of uterine maintenance, explore the relevant mechanisms between type 6 uterine collagen in fish maw and uterine anti-aging, and promote the implementation of more effective solutions through evidence-based research.
Cui Yu, a member of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a member of the Social and Legal Affairs Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and a former vice chairperson and secretary of the Secretariat of the All-China Women’s Federation, stated in her speech, “Women’s health is one of the core issues of the national public health service system. The state has built an all-round foundation for women’s health through a series of policies. I hope that women will pay attention to their own health and establish the concept of being the ‘first responsible person for their own health’. Let us work hand in hand to jointly promote the construction of a Healthy China and create a healthier and more beautiful living environment for women.”
The uterus, as the core source of female vitality, has long been on the edge of health issues. The concept of uterine maintenance has long remained in relatively traditional and superficial ways, such as “drinking brown sugar water and ginger tea during menstruation” and “applying warm baby stickers for dysmenorrhea”.
Sun Qianbin, Secretary of the Party Committee, President, and Editor-in-Chief of China Women’s News (Network Information and Communication Center of the All-China Women’s Federation), pointed out the cognitive misunderstandings of uterine health in the past, saying, “In the field of women’s health, pseudoscience is on the rise, old feudal ideas are resurfacing, and false avant-garde ideas are misleading people, and the negative impacts are particularly serious.” He called on all sectors of society to break biases, dispel misunderstandings, and jointly do a good job in popularizing women’s health knowledge.
Southern Weekend has long been concerned about women’s health issues. Its previous in-depth report on endometriosis, “Invisible Thorns: The Ignored Female Pain”, resonated widely. Meng Dengke, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Southern Weekend, and Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Southern Weekend Research Institute, said, “Limited uterine health education, combined with long-standing social biases, makes it easy for women to ignore the key role of daily uterine maintenance in the body’s anti-aging. In the long run, it restricts women’s self-pursuit and creation.”
On Xiaohongshu, in the past five months, searches related to menstruation exceeded 180 million, with a year-on-year growth rate of over 41%. And searches related to the uterus and ovaries exceeded 80 million. Juenian, the person in charge of the commercial tonic food industry on Xiaohongshu, saw an emotional resonance among female users in the community. Everyone hopes to love and care for themselves and grow self-reliantly. “We hope to work together with brands like Guanzhan and thousands of high-quality content creators in our community to conduct science popularization and spread a healthy lifestyle.”
Guanzhan is committed to using the power of modern scientific evidence for Oriental tonics. Scientific evidence has proven that “type 6 uterine collagen” is an important nutrient required for uterine repair and has a positive effect on uterine maintenance after menstruation for women, and fish maw contains natural “type 6 uterine collagen”. Zhang Yu, Chairman of Guanzhan and Executive President of the Fish Maw (Huajiao) Branch of the China Fisheries Association, said, “In the next five years, we plan to invest 100 million yuan with the theme of solving the mechanism research on women’s health, such as the mechanism research on uterine health, continuously conduct clinical efficacy and component verification, and promote industrial innovation and application in this field.”
The “7-Day Uterus Care Bureau” women’s health action is not only an initiative but also the starting point of a systematic health practice. Modern women attach great importance to maintaining a youthful appearance, but in fact, the real anti-aging code lies in the internal source of the body.
“Uterine health is the core driving force for women’s health, so women should pay attention to uterine health from a young age.” Yin Ling, Chief Physician of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Peking University First Hospital, pointed out in the on-site science popularization that uterine maintenance should not be limited to the period of preparing for pregnancy or during pregnancy and childbirth but should become a health practice that every woman can start immediately.
Chen Rong, Chief Physician of Gynecological Endocrinology at Peking Union Medical College Hospital, clarified a series of rumors on the spot, such as “you can’t wash your hair during menstruation” and “menstruation is the body’s detoxification”, emphasizing that science is the compass for uterine maintenance. She particularly pointed out that “the 7 days after menstruation is when the endometrium is continuously growing, so it is a golden maintenance period. It is recommended to supplement the nutrients required for uterine repair during this period, but in fact, women should pay attention to uterine maintenance every day.”
Du Bing, a professor at South China Agricultural University and a scientist in the national Chinese medicinal materials industry technology system, put forward more specific suggestions for uterine maintenance: The type 6 uterine collagen in fish maw naturally exists in the uterus and ovaries and participates in the formation of the endometrium and follicles. It works in synergy with elastin and trace elements in fish maw to support the repair of the uterus after menstruation. He shared the scientific research analysis results of the components of various types of fish maw and said, “Scientific tests have found that the content of ‘type 6 uterine collagen’ in deep-sea cod maw and South Asian red fish maw is relatively prominent.”
At the launch ceremony, a science popularization exhibition area of the “7-Day Uterus Care Bureau” was specially created, constructing a cognitive system of uterine health from a scientific perspective: starting from the point that “uterine health is the ‘internal driving force’ for anti-aging”, it systematically analyzes the importance of the “7 days after menstruation” and the key points of scientific uterine maintenance. The easy-to-understand science popularization attracted many on-site participants to stop and browse and consult, effectively promoting the concept of “uterine maintenance after menstruation” to take root in people’s hearts.
This event, through the tripartite linkage of the media, enterprises, and society, with authoritative endorsements, platform dissemination, community operation, and scientific research investment, jointly promotes the transformation of “uterine health” from a marginal issue to mainstream cognition, helps the female public to move towards a scientific understanding of endogenous uterine anti-aging maintenance, and then integrates the “uterine maintenance” action into every daily life, injecting concrete female power into the realization of the “Healthy China” goal.
When every woman begins to face up to and care for the “first home” in her life, a more free, equal, and healthy “her future” can truly be expected. And the “7-Day Uterus Care Bureau” is precisely the solid starting point for this future.
