On the morning of that day, the main venue of the 2025 World Health Day theme publicity event, hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission, was held at the Panyu Campus of Guangdong Women and Children’s Hospital.
At the main venue, a licensing ceremony for the Affiliated Women and Children’s Hospital of Southern University of Science and Technology was held simultaneously.
Guangdong Women and Children’s Hospital officially became a non-directly affiliated hospital of Southern University of Science and Technology, and the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in multiple fields such as scientific research innovation, talent training, and technology transformation to build a highland for maternal and child health innovation.
Centering on the publicity theme of “Ensuring Maternal and Infant Health, Caring for the Future of the Motherland”, the event popularized maternal and child health knowledge and promoted traditional Chinese medicine health care technologies across the province through health science popularization, free medical consultationspularization, free medical consultations, and interactive experiences, helping to build a childbirth-friendly society.
At the main venue, expert teams from multiple disciplines including maternity care, pediatrics, traditional Chinese medicine, and nutrition gathered to provide “one-stop” health services for citizens.
Experts gave in-depth explanations combined with cases on hot issues such as fertility preservation, pregnancy nutrition management, and children’s mental health. The interactive experience area was very popular. Citizens participated in interesting interactive projects such as “childbirth simulation experience” and “body composition testing”, experienced traditional cultural therapies such as traditional Chinese medicine moxibustion and ear point application, and the on-site free sachets and seasonal tea drinks were well received, further enhancing public awareness of maternal and child health.
