The next-generation model is expected to blend traditional rear-wheel-drive performance with updated architecture and a modernized lineup of internal-combustion engines, including an available V-8.
The revived Camaro is expected to remain a two-door sports coupe at its core, while also potentially expanding its body style offerings. Reports suggest Chevrolet may consider a four-door variant similar to the latest Dodge Charger. Regardless of configuration, the model will likely retain its 2+2 seating layout, with rear seats designed primarily for occasional use rather than long-distance comfort. Styling is expected to shift toward a fastback silhouette with a sloping roofline and hatchback-style rear access, drawing inspiration from earlier Camaro generations.
The model’s return follows GM’s decision to discontinue the Camaro after the 2024 model year, which left a notable gap in Chevrolet’s performance lineup.
