Trans influencer Marina recently took a major step in her gender-affirming journey by undergoing a breast augmentation procedure in Davao on January 7, 2026, with Dr. Berry Berina, a fellow trans woman and plastic surgeon.
“I am working with Dr. Berry. She is also a trans woman plastic surgeon based in Davao,” Marina said. “I want to shed light on the fact that we have trans women surgeons here in the Philippines.” She described her doctor’s support as deeply personal, saying, “Para akong may big sister na naggi-guide sa akin throughout this journey.”
Marina opened up about her transition, revealing that she began socially transitioning and taking hormone replacement therapy (HRT) last year. “Early last year, I started my transitioning journey. Later on, I started with my HRT. It was really a big step, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life,” she said.
Reflecting on the origins of her journey, Marina noted that it was not a single moment but a gradual realization. “The woman in me has always been with me since childhood,” she explained.
Marina’s drag sister, Eva Le Queen, accompanied her to Davao, providing care and support during her recovery. “I’m happy that I flew all the way to Davao to be here with her, to see the transformation right before my eyes. I wouldn’t miss this for the world,” Eva shared.
In a heartfelt moment, Marina reflected on her past identity, sharing a message for Adrian, the person she once was. “I feel like I’ve already let go of Adrian a long time ago. But if I could talk to him now, I would like to thank him for allowing me to be the woman I am today,” she said, sharing photos from her younger days. Seeing her post-surgery results, she expressed joy: “Ang ganda. They’re so beautiful.”
A month after the procedure, Marina marked a new milestone with a photoshoot to reveal her transformation. She described it as an important step in presenting her new self to the world.
The surgery has also brought her confidence and peace. “I’ve grown to be more confident with my body. It affirmed my womanhood, femininity, and personality. I’m grateful to be surrounded by amazing people during this journey,” she said.
Marina concluded by sharing her excitement for the future: “I cannot wait to fully live my life as a woman, not in the shadows anymore. Finally, I am stepping into the light, and I won’t let anyone dim my light.”
