Kaity Biggar, star of The Bachelor and wife of Zach Shallcross, is weighing the decision to remove her breast implants, sharing details of her explant journey with fans.
In a TikTok video posted Friday, January 9, Biggar, 31, revealed she was on her way to a consultation to explore the possibility of having her breast implants removed. “For those who don’t know, the girls, they aren’t real,” she said. “We’re gonna think about getting them taken out, so an explant.”
The reality TV alum explained that the consultation was intended to cover the full explant process and potential costs. “It was really good [and] really informative,” she said. “We went over everything in this appointment. It was free, and we basically talked about what it would look like, what would happen if I got them taken out.”
Biggar previously underwent breast augmentation in her late teens, seeking a natural look through a physician in Ottawa, Canada. She revealed that the original surgery cost approximately CAD $14,700.
The potential explant procedure, which she described in detail, would likely take around two hours and involve general anesthesia. “Most doctors remove the entire capsule from the patient’s chest,” she said, explaining that the body forms a capsule around implants since they are foreign objects. “I’d want to be put under because I want them to take absolutely everything.”
She shared that a bilateral explant with total capsulectomy would cost roughly $11,500. “For them to be put in, was like $14,700 — but that was Canadian money,” she noted.
Biggar also shared a lighthearted anecdote about her husband, Zach Shallcross, whom she met on The Bachelor season 27. “Zach didn’t even know I had breast implants when he first saw them,” she quipped. The explant procedure would involve two drains for approximately two weeks, requiring time off work, which she said is “no biggie.”
Despite the potential surgery, Biggar continues her career as a nurse and has been focused on family life with Shallcross. The couple, who got engaged on The Bachelor in 2022 and married in May 2025, are preparing to start a family. “We’re building a home, so it’s gonna be ready in June or July, and then probably around then, we’re gonna start cooking one up,” Biggar told Us Weekly.
Shallcross, 29, expressed his excitement about parenthood. “I know she’ll be a great mom because she does have such attention and care for people that she loves,” he said. “She’s always thinking of others. I know that she’ll do that with our future kids.”
