Social media stars and former college basketball players Haley and Hanna Cavinder have shared their dramatic six-month body transformation, revealing the results of a fitness approach that prioritizes strength over extreme dieting.
The twin influencers, who previously underwent breast augmentation surgery, posted side-by-side bikini photos on Instagram this week to showcase their toned, muscular physiques. The sisters credited their progress to moving away from restrictive eating habits and adopting a structured nutrition and training plan.
“We used to chase skinny,” the twins wrote. “Which meant under-eating, over-training, and wondering why nothing ever grew, especially our glutes. For years we thought less food = better results. In reality, it just meant stalled progress, low energy, and bodies that couldn’t change. Once we started eating enough, following intentional macros, and training with purpose, that’s when our bodies actually changed.”
The Cavinders emphasized that muscle growth comes from proper nutrition, recovery, and consistency, not starvation. They highlighted their fitness app, Twogether, and macro program as tools to help others “eat for your body, not against it.”
The sisters have been candid about their struggles with food and body image. In a 2023 YouTube video, they discussed battling anorexia nervosa and toxic eating habits that emerged after transferring from Fresno State to the University of Miami. Hanna admitted she began obsessively calorie-counting, while both experienced hormonal imbalances, hair loss, and the pressure of constant comparisons on social media.
“At first, it felt like a competition between us—who could last longer without eating,” Hanna recalled. “It got very toxic.”
Recognizing the need for guidance, Haley and Hanna sought help from fitness expert Kathryne “Kat” Padgett, focusing on nutrition and sustainable health habits. Their commitment to wellness culminated in walking the runway at the 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit show during Miami Swim Week and regularly sharing fitness milestones on social media.
Haley, who got engaged to Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson in April 2025, recently revealed she is following a “bridal bootcamp” as part of her wedding preparations. Both twins continue to leverage their fame as former Miami Hurricanes athletes, amassing 4.6 million TikTok followers and an estimated net worth of $4 million.
