Dancing With the Stars runner-up Alix Earle has shared a moving glimpse into her family’s battle with breast cancer, posting a video of herself performing an impromptu dance routine at her mother’s hospital bedside following surgery.
The 25-year-old influencer and actress was filmed by her younger sister, Ashtin, 22, at an undisclosed hospital in New Jersey shortly after their mother, Alisa Maniaci, underwent an operation related to breast cancer. The light-hearted clip, posted to TikTok and Instagram, shows Earle squeezing into the small space at the foot of the hospital bed and breaking into high kicks and energetic arm movements as a New York Knicks game played in the background.
Despite the tight quarters, Earle performed a playful routine without music, drawing smiles and laughter from family members gathered in the room. She later shared the moment on Instagram with a heartfelt message: “Go momma! So proud and inspired by you. There’s no challenge you can’t face and come back stronger. I love you! #breastcancerawareness.”
The video montage also included more tender moments, with Earle gently playing with her mother’s hair and holding her hand. A voiceover in the clip underscored the family’s resilience, saying: “Strong women never give up. We might need a coffee. We might need a good cry. We might need a day in bed. But we will always come back stronger.”
Earle revealed that she first learned of her mother’s diagnosis while competing on season 34 of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. Her former professional dance partner, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, showed his support by commenting on the post with heart emojis and the words “Mama Earle.”
The social media star, who is also an investor in beverage brands Gorgie and SipMARGS, chose not to share the health news publicly at the time, just as she had kept quiet about her recent split from NFL wide receiver Braxton Berrios after two years of long-distance dating. She has since admitted the situation has been emotionally challenging, saying she has had “a few cries” while supporting her mother, who divorced Earle’s father, TJ Earle, in 2013.
Earle, who also made headlines recently for being spotted with retired NFL quarterback Tom Brady at a New Year’s Eve party in St. Barts, remains one of the most influential figures in digital media. She boasts more than 8 million TikTok followers and over 5 million on Instagram, and reportedly earns around $450,000 per sponsored post for major brands.
While her career continues to soar, Earle’s latest post offered a reminder that even amid fame and success, family and resilience remain at the heart of her story.
