After a whirlwind week that took him from New York to Los Angeles and straight onto the Golden Globes red carpet, 24-year-old Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams looked remarkably fresh despite a schedule that left little room for rest.
Williams made his late-night television debut on The Tonight Show, attended the Industry premiere in New York, then flew back to Los Angeles to appear at multiple pre–Golden Globes events before presenting at the awards ceremony alongside his co-star Connor Storrie. For most people, that level of travel, late nights and constant spotlight would show up quickly on their skin — but for Williams, it barely did.
The reason, according to celebrity hairstylist and skincare specialist Aika Flores, lies in a carefully planned routine designed to calm, hydrate and protect skin under stress.
“Facials help tremendously, especially before a big event,” Flores told Glamour. “I always recommend a deep facial the day before to reduce redness and calm the skin. Eye patches on the day of are a must, and for some clients I’ll even suggest a quick ice-water facial to de-puff and tighten everything up. But skincare doesn’t stop at products — it starts from within. Keeping stress low, staying balanced and eating clean all make a visible difference. What you put in your body absolutely shows up on your skin.”
Inside Hudson Williams’ Golden Globes skincare routine
Flores revealed the five-step regimen she used to prepare Williams for the red carpet, relying entirely on products from celebrity-favorite brand iS Clinical.
She began by cleansing his skin with the brand’s lightweight Cleansing Complex, followed by a mist of Copper Firming Mist to immediately hydrate and firm.
“It beautifully sets the tone for relaxation and hydration,” Flores said. “The mist wakes up the skin, giving it a smooth, refreshed and slightly tightened look.”
Next came two targeted serums. First was Pro-Heal Serum Advance+, which Flores uses to calm inflammation and reduce redness while adding a subtle glow. She followed that with Hydra-Cool Serum, a product she says is ideal for someone constantly traveling by plane.
“For Hudson, who’s always on the move, this is perfect for instant cooling and hydration,” she explained. “It’s a great step right before moisturizer.”
To seal in moisture and create a red-carpet-ready finish, Flores applied iS Clinical’s Daily Dynamic Hydrator, which contains peptides and exosomes designed to support the skin barrier while delivering long-lasting hydration.
“The goal is healthy, glowing skin that reads beautifully under bright lights,” she said.
Minimal makeup, maximum glow
When it came to makeup, Flores kept things deliberately understated. Williams’ skin, which has already gone viral in a 20-minute skincare video with The Cut, required little coverage.
“I usually go in with a tinted moisturizer to keep a healthy sheen and a real-skin look,” she said. “I’ll add a tiny bit of concealer where needed and then lightly mattify the T-zone so the skin doesn’t get oily but still keeps its glow. Using too much mattifier can make skin look flat on the carpet.”
The result was a polished yet natural appearance that held up through a night of flashing cameras, proving that with the right routine, even a packed, jet-lagged schedule doesn’t have to show on your face.
For fans eager to replicate the look, the takeaway is simple: calm, hydrate and protect — and keep it minimal. After all, as Williams demonstrated, sometimes the best red-carpet beauty secret is letting healthy skin do most of the work.
