Volvo is preparing to launch its latest electric SUV, the EX60, which promises to deliver impressive range and fast charging features. One of the most notable specifications of the EX60 is its estimated driving range. Volvo reports that the SUV can travel approximately 400 miles on a single charge in an all-wheel-drive setup. While this figure has not yet been officially rated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Volvo states that it used comparable testing methods to arrive at this number. In Europe, the EX60’s range is expected to reach about 810 kilometers under the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), which would place it ahead of competitors like Tesla’s Model Y, which offers up to 622 kilometers under WLTP standards.
Charging speed is another area where the EX60 aims to impress. The vehicle supports 400kW fast charging, allowing it to gain up to 340 kilometers of driving range in just 10 minutes. This capability will make long-distance travel more convenient for drivers concerned about charging times. Additionally, Volvo plans to offer a 10-year warranty on the battery, addressing concerns about battery longevity and reliability over time.
Beyond performance figures, images released by Volvo suggest that the EX60 will feature flexible seating arrangements. The SUV appears to offer six- or seven-seat configurations, making it suitable for larger families or those needing extra passenger capacity.
