Mercedes-Benz is preparing to bring a new level of luxury to the minivan segment in the United States with its upcoming Maybach VLS, an ultra-premium variant of its latest minivan offering. The first teaser image reveals the signature Maybach branding on the D-pillar, chrome window surrounds, and a meticulously finished exterior paint, hinting at the level of detail and elegance buyers can expect.
While much of the visual appeal is evident on the outside, Mercedes-Maybach has focused heavily on the interior, promising enhancements that elevate the minivan to the same opulent standards of its flagship sedans and limousines.
The VLS follows the automaker’s Vision V concept previewed less than a year ago, signaling Mercedes’ intention to deliver a spacious and technologically advanced cabin. According to the company, the minivan will emphasize “an uncompromising commitment to the rear passenger,” offering “a completely new world of comfort and digital sophistication.” Mercedes-Benz describes the VLS as a “true Maybach,” highlighting the automaker’s dedication to luxury, refinement, and attention to detail.
While exact availability has not been disclosed, the base VLE model is expected to launch in the United States next year. The Maybach VLS variant will likely follow, potentially reaching U.S. showrooms in late 2027.
