NEXEN TIRE, a leading global tire manufacturer, has announced that it will supply original equipment (OE) tires for the all-new Kia Seltos in the Korean market, reinforcing its position in the SUV and high-inch wheel segments.
The latest Seltos features a larger body than its predecessor and offers both gasoline and hybrid powertrains. The expanded lineup includes 16-, 18-, and a new 19-inch wheel option. NEXEN TIRE is providing tires specifically optimized for each wheel size, balancing SUV driving dynamics with the unique requirements of hybrid vehicles.
For 16- and 18-inch wheels, the Seltos is equipped with NEXEN’s high-efficiency, all-season N’PRIZ S tires. These tires deliver class-leading mileage and a quiet, comfortable ride while ensuring improved snow performance, making them suitable for electric vehicles, hybrids, and conventional internal combustion engines.
The new 19-inch wheels meet the growing demand for larger wheels and are paired with premium N’FERA AU7 tires. Engineered for high-inch wheels, the N’FERA AU7 ensures stable performance at high speeds and a smooth ride. Its reinforced structure and optimized tread pattern enhance handling, while NEXEN’s Noise Reduction System (NRS) reduces interior noise by absorbing tire resonance. Internal tests show a driving noise reduction of approximately 10% compared to non-NRS tires.
By supplying OE tires for the Korean-market Seltos, NEXEN TIRE strengthens its presence in the high-inch SUV segment. The company already provides OE tires for a growing portfolio of SUVs and pickup trucks, including the KGM Musso, Hyundai Palisade, ELEXIO electric SUV, Kia EV5, Tasman pickup truck, and Škoda Karoq SUV.
