Kim Min-ji, a star of Netflix’s hit reality show “Single’s Inferno 5,” has publicly addressed circulating rumors about plastic surgery and shared candid insights about her appearance and recent personal experiences.
On February 28, Kim posted a video on her YouTube channel titled “Kim Min-ji Q&A: She Lost It When Asked to Do a Q&A for Single’s Inferno 5,” in which she responded to fans’ questions submitted through Instagram’s Ask Me Anything (AMA) feature.
“I received so many questions that I couldn’t even count them, so I’m trying my best to answer,” Kim said. “I’m truly grateful for all the love and attention.” She also explained her motivation for starting a YouTube channel, stating, “I wanted to show a more honest side of myself.”
The video drew particular attention when a fan asked about plastic surgery. The question read, “I’m not being malicious, but I saw rumors about plastic surgery while watching your reels. Did you have any procedures done?” Kim reacted promptly and firmly denied having undergone any surgery.
“Ah, I really wanted to address this,” she said. “I genuinely haven’t had any plastic surgery. I really haven’t.” Reflecting on her past photos, she added, “When I look at those old photos myself, they’re quite bizarre. I was really shocked. When you first get braces, your lips protrude this much.”
While denying surgery, Kim was transparent about having minor cosmetic procedures. She revealed, “Who becomes pretty just from braces? I’ve had some fillers—my nose and forehead are both fillers.” She added humorously, “I’ve recently gotten into procedures. I never expected to look this pretty after just braces and a bit of filler.”
The Q&A also addressed criticism over her demeanor during the show’s “Reunion” episode. Kim acknowledged her behavior, saying, “I think my expression was bad. My tone was also too snappy. I’m really sorry to Mina.” She noted that she contacted Mina directly after the broadcast to resolve any misunderstandings and confirmed that their relationship is now positive.
