Donna Kelce, mother of NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce, is celebrating both her recent weight loss and her memorable stint on Peacock’s reality show The Traitors.
The 73-year-old made headlines on social media after opening up about losing 30 pounds over the past year through intermittent fasting. Her comments appeared under a Facebook post from The Kelce Brothers fan account, which shared a promotional photo of Donna ahead of the Traitors season 4 finale and reunion special on Thursday, Feb. 26.
In the image, Donna wears a sequined blazer and matching slim-fit gray trousers while standing on the steps of Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, where she filmed the show. When a user suggested her transformation might be due to weight loss drugs, Donna clarified, writing, “I did it myself with intermittent fasting. Thanks, about 30 pounds over a year.”
Donna’s social media presence was bold and humorous, not shying away from critics. When one user insulted her appearance with the comment, “That’s a man,” she fired back: “I am as tall as one… Bahahaha but I have the cesarean scars to prove I gave birth.”
Her time on The Traitors was brief but memorable. Donna was eliminated in episode 3, becoming the show’s first-ever secret Traitor. Reflecting on her experience, she shared, “Playing a Traitor was tough, but I gave it my best shot. This has been a dream come true. These are happy tears that I get to do this at this point in my life. It’s just the joy of being in the game.”
Her sons praised her performance on their podcast, New Heights, noting her surprising skill in the game. Jason Kelce said, “I thought she did fantastic. I know she was eliminated, but it’s really hard to go into those shows as an outsider and not become a target. She handled it so well.” Travis added, “She stood her ground at the round table. I was so proud of her. She looked like she was having a blast, enjoying it all. It was just so cool to see her in this moment.”
Both sons highlighted Donna’s unexpectedly devious gameplay. “She was way more deceitful and devious than I thought Mom could ever be,” Jason admitted, emphasizing how entertaining it was to watch her navigate the competition.
