British influencer and reality television personality Jordan James Parke, widely known online as the “Lip King,” has died at the age of 34, with authorities investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed officers were called to a residential address at Lincoln Plaza in Canary Wharf on February 18 following reports of an unconscious man. Emergency services attended the scene, but Parke was pronounced dead there.
“Officers attended alongside paramedics and a 34-year-old man was sadly declared dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed,” a police spokesperson said in a statement.
Police later arrested a 43-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman on suspicion of manslaughter on February 20. Both individuals have since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Authorities described the death as “currently being treated as unexplained,” adding that investigators are examining information suggesting Parke may have been undergoing a cosmetic procedure prior to his death. A post-mortem examination is expected to help determine the cause.
Parke, from Dudley, England, rose to public attention through his appearances on the U.S. reality series Botched, which documents corrective cosmetic procedures. He first appeared on the show in 2015, seeking help for complications related to leaking lip injections from plastic surgeons Dr. Paul Nassif and Dr. Terry Dubrow.
Open about his transformation, Parke said he began undergoing cosmetic procedures at age 19, starting with eyebrow tattooing. In a 2016 television interview, he revealed he had spent more than £130,000 (approximately $175,000) on aesthetic treatments by the age of 25.
At that time, his procedures included two rhinoplasties, a chin implant, neck liposuction, multiple facial fillers—including lips, cheeks, smile lines, and jawline—a thread facelift, as well as Botox and other facial treatments.
Parke returned to Botched in 2019, explaining that he had redirected his passion for aesthetics into a career.
“I’m obsessed with fillers, so I decided to go and train to become an aesthetician, and that’s what I do now, and I love it,” he said during the episode.
Tributes have poured in from family and followers since news of his death emerged. His sister, Sharnelle Parke, shared an emotional message on social media, describing the family as “numb, shocked, and heartbroken.”
“Jordan… you were our best friend, our whole world, our everything,” she wrote. “There are simply no words to express how grateful we are that we had you in our lives. The world feels so empty without you.”
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding Parke’s death.
