Kim Ji-young, a cast member of Channel A’s hit dating show Heart Signal 4, has candidly shared her experience with hair loss following pregnancy, offering reassurance to others facing similar concerns.
On the 8th, Kim took to social media to update fans, saying, “The hair that fell out last year is growing back. I’m so happy,” as she revealed her newly grown bangs. Her post quickly drew attention from followers who have been anxious about postpartum hair loss.
She went on to address the many messages she has received from people seeking advice. “There are so many people who are desperate like me. You keep asking me about my secret, but honestly, I didn’t do anything special, so I’m glad,” she wrote. Kim speculated that changes in her body may have played a role, explaining that her food intake had nearly doubled after pregnancy, leading to improved nutrition, while hormonal shifts may have helped retain nutrients in preparation for childbirth.
However, she also acknowledged lingering worries shared by fans. “The sad thing is receiving DMs from people who say that if you give birth, you’ll lose your hair all over again,” she added. Kim promised to continue sharing her experience, saying she would “share everything” and do her best to “hold on to my hair” after giving birth.
Kim Ji-young rose to public recognition through her appearance on Heart Signal 4, which aired in 2023, and she is currently active as an influencer.
Earlier this month, she married Yoon Soo-young, a non-celebrity who is six years her senior and the founder of Trevari, one of South Korea’s largest paid reading communities. The couple had originally planned to hold their wedding ceremony in April, but moved the date forward after Kim announced her pregnancy.
