Danielle Bernstein, the New York City-based fashion influencer and founder of WeWoreWhat, has opened up about a recent cosmetic procedure she underwent to address a facial feature that had long bothered her.
On February 3, Bernstein, 33, shared on Instagram that she had a lower blepharoplasty, a surgery aimed at rejuvenating the under-eye area. “This wasn’t about changing my face — just finally fixing something that never felt like me,” she wrote, emphasizing that the procedure was meant to address a personal concern rather than alter her overall appearance.
The two-hour surgery, performed by aesthetic plastic surgeon Ira Savetsky, focused on her tear troughs — the hollow or creased areas that run from the inner eye toward the cheekbone. Bernstein shared a series of before-and-after photos, along with recovery selfies that showed the bruising and swelling typical after surgery.
By the two-week mark, she reported beginning to “see amazing results.” Three weeks after the procedure, Bernstein said the area was “almost healed,” noting a “huge” improvement in the appearance of her under eyes. “Bye bye hollowness,” she added. While she acknowledged that she is “still healing,” Bernstein expressed that she is already “beyond happy with the results.”
This is not Bernstein’s first time publicly discussing cosmetic enhancements. In September, she revisited details about her high school nose job, which she said addressed a feature that had bothered her her entire life. She also regularly uses injectables, including Botox for her forehead and neckline, and lip fillers to even out her smile.
Bernstein’s announcement comes shortly after she shared personal news about her relationship. She and fiancé Cooper Weisman recently called off their engagement. “There’s no big dramatic reason — sometimes it’s simply not the right forever. I’m not sure what the future holds, but this choice took courage,” she wrote.
