Leonardo DiCaprio, long known for resisting cosmetic enhancements such as Botox and hair transplants, is reportedly reconsidering his stance as he enters his early 50s.
Sources say the Oscar-winning actor has become increasingly aware of aging and visible wrinkles, prompting him to explore subtle cosmetic options. However, insiders emphasize that DiCaprio has no intention of going to extremes or following the more dramatic paths taken by some other male celebrities.
“Leo has always had strong taste and judgment,” an insider said. “He’s not going to take Botox or any cosmetic work too far. Vanity helped make him a star, but the last thing he wants is to become a laughingstock.”
Those close to the actor say the conversation around aging has become more pronounced within his longtime Hollywood inner circle, which includes Tobey Maguire, Lukas Haas, and Kevin Connolly. The group, friends for more than three decades, are all hitting their late 40s and early 50s at roughly the same time.
“Some of them have settled down, some have gotten married and had kids, and some are still living like there’s no tomorrow,” the source said. “It’s an interesting dynamic, and Leo is very much at the center of it.”
According to insiders, DiCaprio remains a key influence within the group, with friends often looking to him for cues on major life decisions. While he has not ruled out becoming a father, sources say he wants to look and feel confident if he decides to take that step.
The actor’s personal life has long attracted attention, particularly his history of dating younger women. His current partner, model Vittoria Ceretti, is 27, fueling speculation that DiCaprio may be open to a more lasting relationship.
At the same time, sources stress that DiCaprio continues to prioritize his career above all else. Unlike friends such as Maguire and Connolly, who have become more selective about their projects, DiCaprio is said to remain intensely driven.
“Leo is still addicted to pushing himself and making the biggest, toughest movies he can,” the insider said. “He’s chasing legacy more than any of his friends.”
While DiCaprio reportedly appreciates the opportunities that come with middle age, he is also mindful of the expectations that come with being a leading man in Hollywood.
“He still has to impress the ladies, and he still has to be handsome,” the source added. “For him, that part is non-negotiable.”
