Jackée Harry, the 69-year-old actress best known for Sister, Sister and Days of Our Lives, recently revealed that she underwent a deep-plane facelift to rejuvenate her appearance. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Harry described her desire for her skin to be “yanked” and “snatched.”
Her plastic surgeon, Dr. Patrick Davis, explained that the procedure “resets your tissues back to where they once were.” The surgery can take up to four hours and costs between $40,000 and $250,000, according to Davis.
Harry shared that she had been contemplating the procedure for more than two years, with ongoing consultations leading up to the surgery. “I was all va-va-voom, and I knew it,” she recalled of her younger self. “But I’m gonna get it again, right, Dr. Davis?”
The actress cited inspirations for her facelift, including Kris Jenner, Jane Fonda, and Diahann Carroll. She recalled Carroll once advising her to start “doing little stuff” at 35. Despite her initial fears—particularly about pain and changing her appearance—Harry ultimately decided to move forward.
“When you constantly want something that bad, you’ve got to do it. And I discovered I wanted it that bad,” Harry said, noting that her boyfriend encouraged her to embrace her natural look.
Reflecting on the results, Harry admitted that she struggles with body dysmorphia but said the facelift has helped her feel more like herself. “I have no qualms about how old I am or who I am. This helps it. Boosts it. It pushes it forward. So why not?”
Harry also spoke candidly about the potential for future procedures. “You start doing the face, then you’re gonna want to start doing the breasts, then the waist, so you gotta be careful to not be addicted,” she warned.
Ultimately, Harry expressed satisfaction with the surgery, saying, “I’m still me.” She’s now looking forward to a glamorous milestone: walking down the aisle with her younger boyfriend once her healing is complete.
