Lee Hoseon and Kim Jimin delivered surprising and humorous confessions about plastic surgery during a counseling session on SBS Plus’ Lee Hoseon’s Cider, turning an intense episode into a laughter-filled scene.

The fifth episode, which aired at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, focused on the story of a “child villain who rips a parent’s heart,” highlighting a young person whose shocking behavior caused unimaginable distress to their parents. While initially expressing genuine anger at these extreme cases, both Lee Hoseon and Kim Jimin unexpectedly shifted to empathy, creating an entertaining and candid moment for viewers.

The turning point came when they heard about a daughter who reportedly demanded plastic surgery in extreme terms. Instead of reacting with indignation, Kim Jimin empathized, remarking, “I can understand. How important is plastic surgery?” Her candid acknowledgment sparked laughter in the studio. She then shared her own experience, adding, “I also got a little help from my father-in-law…,” eliciting further amusement.

In a surprising twist, Lee Hoseon chimed in with “me too,” pointing to his face and revealing, for the first time on air, that he had undergone plastic surgery. The revelation immediately piqued curiosity about which procedures he had undergone.

Kim Jimin also recounted a humorous incident in which she sought a consultation due to an appearance complex but was rejected, explaining the reason behind the refusal and turning the story into a “blessing in disguise.” She described the strategies she used to overcome her insecurities, prompting nods of agreement from Lee Hoseon.

Adding to the humor, Lee Hoseon shared candid reflections about his own appearance, admitting, “I hoped the children wouldn’t resemble me or their father,” and playfully discussing his unique prenatal observation methods, saying, “I looked at Go So-young and I looked at Jang Dongkeon,” which had everyone in stitches. Viewers were left curious about which parent the children, whom Lee Hoseon sought to guide carefully, ultimately resembled.

Producers described the episode as an opportunity “to realistically examine conflicts between parents and children amid laughter” and noted that it features “an all-time child villain story,” encouraging viewers to both share in the anger and find relief through the show’s “cider solution.”
