Fortis Healthcare has launched Adayu, a dedicated mental health hospital in Gurugram, marking a significant expansion of its psychiatric care services amid rising demand for structured and long-term treatment in India.
Adayu is a 36-bed in-patient facility designed for individuals who require guided, continuous mental health care. The hospital offers a specialised treatment environment that combines clinical expertise with private healing spaces and outcome-driven care programmes.
The facility follows an integrated care model led by multidisciplinary teams trained to manage a broad spectrum of mental health conditions. Its care pathways are designed to support patients needing close monitoring, therapy, and rehabilitation over extended periods.
Fortis Healthcare said Adayu is part of its broader strategy to expand access to evidence-based and sustained mental health services, addressing gaps caused by limited specialised infrastructure and a shortage of trained professionals nationwide.
At the launch, Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fortis Healthcare, described Adayu as a milestone in India’s mental healthcare landscape. He said the facility addresses long-standing shortcomings in infrastructure, investment, and system integration, and represents the first in a planned series of dedicated mental health hospitals under the Fortis network.
Dr. Ritu Garg, Chief Growth and Innovation Officer at Fortis Healthcare, said Adayu integrates advanced technologies such as pharmacogenomics, neuromodulation, virtual reality-based therapy, AI-enabled platforms, and telemedicine to deliver precision-driven mental healthcare.
Dr. Samir Parikh, Chairperson of the Mental Health Program at Fortis Healthcare and Adayu, said the new hospital reflects the organisation’s commitment to accessible, compassionate, and evidence-based mental health treatment.
Fortis Healthcare said Adayu will focus on acute psychiatric care, de-addiction services, and rehabilitation, with the aim of narrowing India’s mental health treatment gap.
