Riverview Behavioral Health in Texarkana has shifted its adult mental health programs to fully in-person care. Adult patients now meet directly with local psychiatrists, psychiatric providers, and nurse practitioners.
The move eliminates telehealth for adult programs, allowing providers to assess body language and other cues that are difficult to gauge via video or phone.
Riverview’s team continues to develop individualized treatment plans, ensuring patient safety and measurable progress. Services include inpatient care for ages 10 and up, and intensive outpatient treatment and detox programs for adults 18 and older.
Patients have access to evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), individual and group therapy, and family counseling.
The center also incorporates creative and recreational therapies, including music and art, to support personal growth beyond traditional mental health care.
Riverview treats a range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, and co-occurring addictions.
