New Therapist Hub Gives Mental Health Therapist Powerful Free Tools

by Shreeya

Insight Timer has launched a free platform called the Therapist Hub to support mental health professionals facing growing pressure from the national mental health crisis. Many therapists report burnout, and independent providers often struggle to expand their practices despite high demand for care.

Insight Timer, known for its meditation, sleep and wellbeing resources, created the Therapist Hub to give mental health professionals practical tools to better serve clients and grow their businesses. The platform is open to therapists, psychologists, social workers and counselors.

The Therapist Hub includes 300,000 free mental health resources in 50 languages, ranging from audio exercises to printable worksheets. Clinicians can share these materials with clients between sessions. The platform also offers a Therapist Directory, allowing professionals to promote their services to the millions of people already using Insight Timer.

In addition to client-facing tools, the Hub provides resources for clinicians dealing with compassion fatigue, imposter syndrome and work-life balance.

Christopher Plowman, CEO of Insight Timer, said the new platform aims to solve three major problems in today’s mental health landscape.

“First, it supports therapists who are facing widespread burnout and rising demand,” he said. “Second, the Therapist Directory helps professionals attract new clients. Third, it improves patient care by giving them steady support between sessions.”

Plowman emphasized that all tools are free, adding no financial strain to providers.

Insight Timer worked with several leading experts to build the Hub’s resource library. Contributors include Dr. Richard Schwartz, founder of Internal Family Systems (IFS); psychologist Tara Brach; self-compassion expert Kristin Neff; and psychologist Rick Hanson.

Neff said she contributed a series of free self-compassion worksheets. “The Hub is a valuable new resource. It supports clinicians, their clients, and also their own wellbeing. It offers a simple way to integrate Insight Timer’s wisdom into clinical practice,” she said.

Insight Timer began developing the Therapist Hub after discovering that about 25,000 mental health professionals were already using its tools informally. The company now hopes to reach one million therapists within two years. Plowman said the goal will be reached by expanding the Hub based on direct feedback from mental health professionals.

Other companies—such as Headway, Alma and Grow Therapy—also serve independent mental health providers. However, these competitors focus mainly on connecting clinicians with patients and managing administrative needs like credentialing, onboarding and billing. In contrast, Insight Timer aims to support both clinical practice and therapist wellbeing, without charging for access.
