While some critics argue that online assessments may be superficial and prone to misdiagnosis, this study demonstrates that rigorously designed, validated digital tools can perform on par with traditional clinical methods. The authors suggest that such tools could play a role in reducing barriers to mental health care globally, though they emphasize the need for more transparency and regulation.
