Caitlin Clark’s Return Remains Uncertain After Groin Injury Setback

by Shreeya

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark remains sidelined with no official timetable for her return, the team confirmed Thursday following additional medical evaluations conducted earlier this week.

Although the latest round of tests revealed no new injuries, Clark continues to recover from a right groin strain sustained during a July 15 game against the Connecticut Sun. The injury has already kept her out of three consecutive games, including the WNBA All-Star Game held last weekend in Indianapolis.

Despite her injury, Clark traveled with the Fever to New York, where she was present for the team’s Tuesday night loss to the Liberty.

The Fever emphasized that Clark remains in close collaboration with the team’s medical personnel as she undergoes ongoing rehabilitation and recovery efforts.

This most recent injury adds to a growing list of physical setbacks Clark has endured during her rookie WNBA season. Earlier in the year, she was treated for a left groin strain and a left quadriceps issue.

As one of the league’s most anticipated young stars, Clark’s absence is being felt both on and off the court. Her return remains a day-to-day matter, with updates expected as her rehabilitation progresses.
