HGTV star Mina Starsiak Hawk, known for “Good Bones,” has never shied away from discussing her cosmetic procedures, setting her apart from many reality TV personalities who often face plastic surgery rumors. While much of Hawk’s work has focused below the neck—partly due to health-related concerns—she has also undergone select facial procedures, revealing how her appearance has evolved over time.
In a November 2023 episode of her podcast Mina AF, Hawk spoke candidly about her decision to undergo a blepharoplasty, a procedure that removes excess eyelid skin. “There’s a point where it becomes more of a medical necessity,” she explained, clarifying that her surgery was primarily aesthetic. “Mine was my right eye—you could not see my eyelid. There was so much more skin and it was so swollen. It’s been driving me crazy for three years.”
During the same podcast episode, Hawk denied having cheek or lip fillers but admitted to receiving Botox injections. “Even though I know I’m going to be judged for them, they do make me happy,” she said, emphasizing that she has had filler in other areas of her body.
Hawk has openly credited her two pregnancies as the catalyst for her cosmetic procedures, often describing them as part of her “mommy makeover.” Speaking to People in 2021, she discussed undergoing breast augmentation, a tummy tuck, and liposuction after giving birth. “I was very hard on myself for wanting to do this because it’s super selfish. But I decided that’s okay, and I just have to keep telling myself that,” she said. Hawk acknowledged that while many women embrace the permanent changes pregnancy brings, she personally struggled with her post-pregnancy body. “No matter what I put on, I didn’t feel comfortable in my body,” she explained. She also emphasized the importance of transparency, stating that passing off her transformation as solely the result of diet and exercise could set unrealistic expectations for others.
In the same 2023 Mina AF episode, Hawk revealed she also opted for a butt lift using filler injections. Explaining her choice, she noted that she had already undergone liposuction, and using fat for augmentation was less predictable in terms of results. “I want people to know I have implants. I got filler in my butt,” she stated.
