From Round Face to Chiseled Jawline: Bad Bunny’s Transformation Fuels Plastic Surgery Rumors

by Shreeya

Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny stunned fans during his Super Bowl performance, appearing in a tailored white outfit with a sculpted beard and sharply defined features. The 31-year-old rapper’s striking transformation from his earlier appearance—rounder face, clean-shaven head, and colorful outfits—has sparked widespread attention.

While some attribute the change to rigorous training, fat loss, and hairstyle choices, experts suggest subtle cosmetic enhancements may also be at play.

Dr. Gary Motykie, a Los Angeles-based plastic surgeon, reviewed years of photos of Bad Bunny but has not treated him. Speaking to Daily Mail, he noted that the rapper’s sharper jawline and more structured face align with weight loss and fitness but may also indicate minor surgical intervention.

“Bad Bunny clearly took control of his physique, and as the body changes, so does the face,” Motykie said. “Working out and losing weight can lead to visible fat loss in the face, sharpening the jawline. However, in some photos, his face looks broader or the chin stronger than before, which could suggest the use of fillers alongside weight loss and new facial hair.”

Experts highlighted several potential cosmetic enhancements. Motykie suggested that filler injections could accentuate the jawline and its angles, while minor procedures like a chin implant or subtle rhinoplasty could contribute to the rapper’s new appearance. He also emphasized that hairstyle, facial hair, and fashion play a significant role in shaping perception.

In addition to changes in facial structure, some dental experts believe Bad Bunny may have veneers. Dr. Daniel Naysan, a Beverly Hills dentist, noted the uniformity and brightness of the rapper’s teeth as indicative of cosmetic dental work.

Cosmetic dermatologist Mona Seresht speculated that the artist might have undergone buccal fat removal or jawline liposuction, although Motykie cautioned that such results could also stem from rigorous training and diet.

Away from the spotlight, Bad Bunny has pursued professional wrestling, winning the WWE 24/7 Championship in 2021 after his WrestleMania debut. His creative director, Janthony Oliveras, praised the rapper’s dedication to training, saying, “He trained twice a day, focusing on technique and his body. It was the biggest transformation I’d seen since he started touring.”
