KSL Clinic, one of the UK and Ireland’s leading hair restoration clinic networks, has announced a strategic partnership with fast-growing men’s health brand Sons, aiming to transform how men access and manage hair loss treatment.
The collaboration brings together preventative care, early medical intervention, surgical restoration and long-term aftercare within a single, integrated treatment pathway. By combining KSL Clinic’s nationwide surgical expertise with Sons’ subscription-based prescription services, the partnership is designed to provide consistent, evidence-based support throughout every stage of a patient’s hair restoration journey.
Addressing a Widespread Men’s Health Issue
Male-pattern baldness, clinically known as androgenetic alopecia, is the most common form of hair loss among men. NHS data shows that around 50% of men will experience some degree of hair loss by the age of 50. Research from the UK Biobank further suggests that up to 80% of men of European ancestry are affected at some point during their lifetime.
Demand for treatment is rising in parallel. The UK hair restoration market was valued at £95 million in 2023 and is forecast to exceed £310 million by 2030, according to Grand View Research, driven by increased awareness, earlier intervention and growing acceptance of treatment options.
A Unified Approach to Treatment
Historically, men seeking help for hair loss have often encountered fragmented care, relying either on prescription medication alone or pursuing surgical hair transplants without ongoing preventative support. The partnership between KSL Clinic and Sons aims to close this gap by aligning medical and surgical care within a single, coordinated model.
Sons provides subscription access to clinically supported prescription treatments, including finasteride and minoxidil, delivered directly to patients’ homes. KSL Clinic offers advanced surgical hair restoration procedures across eight UK locations, alongside free consultations, structured aftercare programmes and procedures led by experienced surgeons.
By working together, the two organisations aim to guide patients from early-stage hair management through surgical intervention where appropriate, followed by long-term maintenance and monitoring.
Reflecting Changing Attitudes to Men’s Health
The partnership also reflects a broader cultural shift in attitudes toward men’s health, confidence and self-care. Hair loss, once considered a taboo subject, is increasingly discussed within the wider context of wellbeing and mental health, with more men seeking professional support earlier.
“Partnering with Sons allows us to extend the care journey beyond the clinic by giving patients trusted access to prescription medicines backed by clinical evidence,” said Anna McCartney, CEO of KSL Clinic. “Both organisations share a commitment to evidence-based treatment and long-term patient support.”
“By combining our expertise with KSL Clinic’s surgical experience, we can deliver a higher standard of care and better outcomes for men seeking effective hair loss solutions,” said Will Kennedy, Founder and CEO of Sons.
Why the Partnership Matters
- Widespread impact: Around 50% of UK men experience hair loss by age 50, rising to as many as 80% over a lifetime.
- Rapid market growth: The UK hair restoration sector is expected to more than triple in value by 2030.
- Integrated care model: Patients benefit from both nationwide surgical services and convenient at-home prescription support within a single treatment pathway.
