Actress Jackée Harry, 69, revealed a refreshed look after undergoing a deep plane facelift, sharing details of the procedure during a recent appearance on Entertainment Tonight.
Speaking alongside her surgeon, Dr. Davis, Harry described the transformation as “snatched” and added with a laugh, “I’m yanked.”
The former Sister, Sister star said that while her boyfriend initially suggested she didn’t need the procedure, she went ahead with it last year, ultimately making him “happy” with her decision. “When you constantly want something that bad, you gotta do it,” Harry said. “And I discovered I wanted it that bad. But it’s terrifying, it’s exciting.”
Harry credited media figures such as Kris Jenner, Jane Fonda, and Ricki Lake as sources of inspiration, praising Lake for having “the best facelift” she had ever seen. She also reflected on advice from the late actress Diahann Carroll, who recommended small facial procedures over time. “She said, do little stuff as you get older, and then she had a facelift. And when I saw her, she had a full facelift,” Harry recalled. She noted Carroll’s results were “gorgeous,” joking that the actress had warned her she couldn’t “move” her face afterward.
The procedure took place at Beverly Hills’ Lasky Clinic Surgical Center and lasted four hours, involving a lift of both Harry’s face and neck.
“I have no qualms about how old I am or who I am,” Harry said. “This helps, it boosts it. It pushes it forwards, so why not?”
