Social media personality Alix Earle has revealed that her mother, Alisa Earle, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
On Sunday, January 11, the 25-year-old shared a heartfelt post on Instagram and TikTok, featuring a video of herself and her sister, Ashtin, supporting their mother in the hospital. The clip showed the sisters helping with Alisa’s hair, holding her hand, and enjoying ice cream and drinks together. The video was overlaid with the words “F!ck Cancer,” accompanied by a voiceover stating, “Strong women never give up. We might need a coffee, we might need a good cry, we might need a day in bed but we will always come back stronger.”
In her caption, Alix wrote: “Go momma! So proud and inspired by you no challenge you can’t face and come back stronger … I love you! #breastcancerawareness.”
Alix revealed that her mother received the diagnosis midway through her participation on season 34 of Dancing with the Stars. Responding to a TikTok comment about struggling on the competition, she shared, “We found out abt halfway through the season and she still showed up every week.” Alix ultimately finished the season as runner-up with her dance partner, Val Chmerkovskiy.
Earlier in January, Alix shared on social media that her mother had undergone surgery. “Back home in Jersey, my mom is in the hospital for her operation right now, so I’m going to go see her,” she said, noting that she would be focusing on being there for her family. She also revealed that her mother’s boyfriend and sister had been supporting her during her hospital stay.
Alix had first hinted at her mother’s health struggles in a December 28 TikTok, revealing that she and Ashtin spent the day after Christmas in the hospital meeting with doctors. “That day was honestly a little hard for me,” she admitted. “This was also something we found out about while I was on Dancing with the Stars, so that was just another one of the things I was dealing with.”
Following the conclusion of the reality competition, Alix reflected on the emotional challenges she faced during the season. In a TikTok recap, she noted, “There was just a lot that happened in my personal life throughout the season that I am happy — I think — that I didn’t share for television … I didn’t want to just say things for the sake of making a really entertaining package and putting these stories in other people’s hands. So I am proud of myself for that.”
Alix Earle’s openness has drawn widespread support online, with fans applauding both her mother’s strength and the influencer’s dedication to her family amid a demanding public career.
