Reality TV star Jenelle Evans has unveiled the results of her latest transformation following a “mommy makeover” procedure. Evans, who first rose to fame on 16 and Pregnant at age 17, shared her journey with fans on Instagram on December 18, posting before-and-after photos that showcase the results of her surgery.
The 34-year-old underwent the procedure earlier in December with Dr. Rachel Mason at La Femme Plastic Surgery in Las Vegas. According to Evans, the surgery included replacing her breast implants and a tummy tuck to address diastasis recti, a condition caused by separated abdominal muscles.
Evans told PEOPLE that the timing felt right, as she is “completely” done having children. She is the mother of Jace, 16, Kaiser, 11, and Ensley, 8, and wanted to focus on her own confidence and well-being. She also noted that her saline breast implants needed replacement after reaching the end of their lifespan.
“When I met with Dr. Mason, I asked if I could fix my abs too, and she said I would need a tummy tuck,” Evans explained. “I was ready for the full mommy makeover.” She added that working with a female surgeon who understands the challenges of motherhood made her feel comfortable throughout the process.
Evans described the recovery as challenging, particularly because she is typically very active. “You literally have to have help being pulled up out of bed,” she said. “They encourage walking every few hours, but for three to four weeks, you’re doing the hunchwalk.” Despite the discomfort, she joked that it was helping to tone her muscles and burn fat.
The reality star waited several weeks before sharing her surgery publicly, emphasizing transparency and authenticity for her social media followers. Evans said she hopes her openness helps other women feel less alone in dealing with post-pregnancy body changes. “No matter how hard I tried, my lower belly pouch wouldn’t go away because it was mostly skin from pregnancy,” she said. “I just wanted everyone to know that I’m just as normal as you guys.”
Nearly a month post-surgery, Evans reports that she is beginning to see the results she hoped for, noting improved definition in her abs and hips. She also shared that her daughter, Ensley, noticed the pain she was in and expressed that she “never” wants to undergo surgery herself—a sentiment Evans respected, assuring her daughter that it isn’t something she needs to do in the future.
