The Princess Jannis Foundation has donated essential items to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital to support the welfare of patients and staff.
The donation was led by the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Princess Jannis Acheampong. Items presented included food supplies, toiletries, sanitary products, bottled water, and other basic necessities. The gesture also marked her birthday.
The visit formed part of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and promoting compassion-driven community development.
Speaking during the presentation, Princess Jannis said her birthday provided an opportunity to give back to society and show solidarity with people living with mental health challenges. She stressed the need for collective support for institutions that care for vulnerable populations.
“My birthday is not only a time to celebrate life, but also a chance to share love and kindness with those who need it most. Mental health is a critical issue, and we must all play a role in supporting those affected,” she said.
Management and staff of the Accra Psychiatric Hospital thanked the Princess Jannis Foundation for the timely support, noting that the donation would enhance patient care and support daily operations during the festive season.
The Princess Jannis Foundation is a charitable organisation focused on humanitarian assistance, social empowerment, and community development initiatives across Ghana. It continues to champion causes aimed at uplifting underserved communities and promoting social responsibility.
