A growing number of men are turning to cosmetic procedures to enhance their sexual confidence—and penis filler is emerging as a notable option. Unlike traditional uses of the phallus, this procedure puts the penis itself “on the receiving end.”
Penis filler is a non-surgical treatment in which hyaluronic acid—a gel commonly used in lip and cheek fillers—is injected into the shaft of the penis to increase girth, explains Chris Bustamante, DNP, founder of Lushful Aesthetics in New York City. Some patients also combine the treatment with scrotal filler (ScroFill®) to create a more balanced and pronounced overall appearance.
While the procedure does not increase erect length, it can reduce retraction when flaccid, giving the appearance of a longer penis when soft. Multiple sessions can even add up to an inch of erect girth, notes Dr. Amy Pearlman, a Miami-based urologist specializing in male sexual and hormonal health.
Experts emphasize the importance of working with qualified professionals, such as urologists or plastic surgeons, to minimize risks, which can include infection, allergic reactions, or filler migration. Despite these potential complications, penis filler is generally considered a safe cosmetic procedure.
Beyond appearance, men report significant psychological and sexual benefits. “Many patients report increased confidence, enhanced sexual sensation, and improvements in issues such as premature ejaculation,” says Dr. Pearlman.
