A major vitamin recall has been issued across the United States after authorities warned that several multivitamin products could pose a deadly threat to children.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that approximately 60,000 bottles of California Gold Nutrition Iron Supplements have been recalled. The affected products include Daily Prenatal Multi, Ultamins Women’s Multivitamin, and Ultamins Women’s 50+ Multivitamin.
These supplements were sold through national retailers such as Walmart and Target, as well as online. According to the CPSC, the vitamins were not packaged in child-resistant containers as required by federal law. This raises the risk of serious injury or death if a child accidentally ingests them.
